The simple answer is yes. IVs have been used since the early 1800’s. Of course, you should consult a physician if you have any concerns.
Who will be administering the IVs?
The IV will be prepared and given by a registered nurse.
How are the IVs prepared?
The IVs are mixed under a vertical laminar flow hood with sterile syringes and sterile gloves.
How many people can receive an IV at once?
Two people can receive an IV at the same time.
Are there any risks?
The staff should be made aware of any allergies you may have. IVs of vitamins, amino acids and nutrients are very safe.
Does it hurt?
If you have ever had an IV done in a hospital or had your blood taken, it will feel similar. Most everyone tolerates the process very well.
Why would I use IVs and not just take vitamins?
By using an IV the amino acids, nutrients and vitamins are absorbed more quickly into the bloodstream, unlike oral vitamins which need to go through the stomach or intestines IVs provide healing molecules in a more concentrated and pure form.
How long will my infusion last?
Between 45 min and 1 hour.
How often can you receive an IV?
You could receive an IV every day. You should consult your primary physician before starting any regimen.
Where is the IV inserted?
The IV will be inserted in your forearm, below your elbow.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing something comfortable that allows easy access to your arm.
How does the water stay so clean?
Our tanks are inspected, cleaned, tested and filtered daily. A high concentration of mineral salts naturally inhibits bacterial growth. Also, filtration and UV light sterilization systems make the water clear and fresh.
Why don’t people feel claustrophobic?
Most people worried about being claustrophobic actually find that they do not feel this way while floating. The tank offers a supportive and therapeutic environment that typically relieves these fears. Our “tank” is actually a small room. It is also important to remember that you are completely in control, at all times. You can go in and out of the tank, as you please. You can use the tank with the door completely open, and if ever you are ever uncomfortable you can end the session whenever you like.
What if I am not a good swimmer?
The epsom salt makes the water so buoyant that it is impossible for the floater to go beneath the surface. It is also nearly impossible to turn over in the buoyant water, so you will not need to swim.
Will I experience altered states?
Every floater has a different experience. Floaters do often report states of expanded awareness, alternate mindsets, and inner peace.
Can floating help my medical conditions?
Research has shown floatation can increase the body’s endorphins, therefore alleviating symptoms of chronic depression and pain. Floatation has also been shown to relieve symptoms of high blood pressure, as well as muscular, neurological, endocrine, and other stress-related disorders. Floatation therapy complements and amplifies various treatment modalities and can accelerate the healing process.
Will the salt from the tank affect me in any way?
The salt used in the tank will make it possible for you to float effortlessly and will prevent your skin from pruning. The salt will also help to exfoliate your skin, making it softer. Epsom salts can rid your hair of excess oil. You should shower well after getting out of the tank as lingering salt could cause a rash in some cases.
Can you use a float tank while pregnant?
Yes, floating is very safe while pregnant. Of course, you should always discuss this with your physician first.
Can I eat before I float?
You should not eat for 1-2 hours before floating.
What if I dye my hair?
You can float with dyed hair, but we ask that you wait at least 48 hours after dyeing it. Hair dye could tinge the water while you are in the float tank. A cleaning fee will apply if your dyed hair discolors the water in the tank.
What do I wear?
This is a private sauna with only one guest at a time. Most people go in nude, with towels laid out under them. If you are not comfortable with that, then a bathing suit or loose breathable clothes, like gym shorts and a tank top, are fine. It is best to go in with nothing on your skin (like lotions or makeup) as that could affect the way your body sweats.
Do I need to take a shower before or after my session?
We require that you shower before using the sauna. Showering helps to cleanse your skin of dirt and dry skin, opening your pores allowing your body to sweat sooner. You will sweat in the sauna, but are not required to shower after. We suggest not using lotion after your sauna. Your skin will look and feel amazing without it.
What should I eat or drink?
Hydrate!!! You should be drinking at least 16-24 oz of water in the hour leading up to using the sauna. Water, coconut water, or electrolyte enriched drinks are best. Avoid drinks with caffeine, like coffee, tea or soda. These drinks can dehydrate you. You should not eat an hour before going into the sauna. After the sauna it is important to rehydrate. A smoothie, fresh vegetables or fruit are good choices.
What should I bring?
You don’t need to bring anything. We will provide you with towels and toiletries, for a quick shower before using the sauna and, again, once you get out. You are, of course, welcome to bring your own toiletries or personal care products.
Will I have any control over the sauna?
Yes. You will be able to control the temperature of the sauna, as well as the wavelengths and colors, should you want chromotherapy. We will aid you in selecting settings.
Can I bring anything in the sauna with me?
You may want to bring a magazine or book in with you. Your phone or tablet should be fine, as well.
How does the sauna stay so clean?
The high heat of the sauna kills germs and bacteria. We also wipe down and disinfect the sauna after each use.
Can I listen to music?
Yes. We offer a selection of music to listen to in the sauna, delivered by integrated speakers.
Can I use the sauna if I have a pacemaker / defibrillator?
No. The sauna should not be used by anyone with a pacemaker or defibrillator.
Can I use the sauna if I are pregnant?
No. Our sauna is not available to women who are pregnant. We do not feel enough is known about infrared light and pregnancy.
Can children use the sauna?
Our sauna is not intended for children.
Can you use the sauna if you are a smoker?
Yes, but you must not smoke for 2 hours prior to using the sauna. The sauna can draw out tobacco odors, nicotine and tar from your body, which can damage the sauna, as well as affect other users.
What should I do in the sauna?
You can read or you can meditate. The sauna does the work . Relax.
What are the benefits?
Reduced swelling, pain relief, improved circulation, weight loss, improved sleep, help with depression, help healing scars, and more.
Are there any risks?
It is always recommended to consult your physician before starting something new, but infrared saunas are quite safe. Since users perspire, one should hydrate well, with water or an electrolyte beverage, like Gatorade. Since saunas take a bit of getting used to, we recommended starting with 15- minute sessions, if you are new to IR saunas, then building up to 30 or 60 minute sessions.
How do you use the Juvent Health Micro-Impact Platform?
Simply stand on the platform for 10 to 20 minutes. That’s all it takes to get the benefits of Juvent’s passive micro-impact exercise. Feel free to read a book, watch television, use your tablet, or even eat or drink while using the Juvent Health Platform.

Is the Juvent Platform safe?

As with any medical device, you should consult with your physician before using it. You should not use the Juvent platform if you’re pregnant, a have a history of deep vein thrombosis, or have pre-existing retinal detachment problems.
Isn’t impact dangerous?
No. While excessive levels of impact (greater than 1g force and 1 mm of travel) can be harmful, the pulses of the Juvent Health Micro-Impact Platform are beneficial (only 0.3 g’s and 0.05mm of travel). In fact, the Surgeon General’s report on bone health states “physical activity that includes impact is more effective than that which does not include impact.”
