LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Soprano ICE Platinum laser hair removal—the most advanced laser hair removal system in the world. It works on skin types of every type, even tanned skin. It is the only clinically proven method of laser hair removal that is virtually painless.
Rather than exposing hair follicles to a single high-energy pulse which can cause trauma to the skin, ICE works by gradually heating the skin to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles and prevents re-growth, while avoiding injury to the surrounding tissue.
Soprano Ice Platinum isn’t a point-and-shoot technique that takes forever. The sweeping motion of moving the laser repeatedly over the treatment area ensures full coverage while shortening treatment time.
This is, simply put, the safest, most effective, least painful, fastest hair removal laser system. Like every service we offer at Blue Water Wellness, it is the best available, anywhere.
Soprano ICE Platinum is the latest generation of the award-winning Soprano laser hair removal system. It is the most complete and effective laser hair removal system available today.
Featuring trio clustered diode technology, the Platinum edition combines 3 laser wavelengths into a single innovative hand-piece, simultaneously targeting different tissue depths as well as anatomical structures within the hair follicle.
Each individual is unique and pain tolerance varies. With the Soprano ICE Platinum system pain is minimized and for many considered nonexistent. For other people, it has been described as the sensation of quick rubber band snaps.
Soprano ICE Platinum uses Alma Laser’s SHR method, which is the only clinically proven method of laser hair removal that is virtually painless. The unique heating and energy delivery method effectively damages the hair follicle while preventing injury and pain to the surrounding tissue. At the same time, integrated ICETM tech cools the skin surface, preventing superficial burns and the sensation of pain.
Yes! Soprano ICE’s SHR method has been proven in clinical studies as the safest method of laser hair removal for all skin types. With SHR, hair follicles are damaged not by a single pulse of high energy which can injure the skin, but by repetitive short energy pulses. These pulses produce heat build-up which gradually raises the temperature of the dermis to the level needed for preventing hair growth, while minimizing the risk of burns.
Yes. While the melanin in dark skin is exponentially more sensitive to the heat used in laser treatment, Soprano ICE’s SHR method has been clinically proven to be the safe for dark skin types. Rather than exposing the hair follicle to a single high energy pulse which can cause trauma to skin with a high melanin count, SHR gradually heats the skin until the required heat energy is delivered to the hair follicle. Through this process, SHR the safest laser hair removal option, including for dark skinned patients.
The duration of treatment can vary depending on the patient’s skin color, hair type and the area being treated. Treatment time can range from a few minutes for a small area such as above the upper lip, to several minutes for the back.
Depending on the patient’s skin and hair type, results are typically seen following 4 to 8 treatment sessions, spaced 4 weeks apart. During each treatment the active hair follicles are targeted and destroyed. Since hair grows in cycles, you can expect to destroy 10-20% of hair during each session. Many people will require more than one laser hair removal session before you can expect to be silky smooth.
Laser hair removal is the process of safely damaging and stopping the growth of hair follicles. Soprano Ice Platinum is not a point-and-shoot technique instead it uses a sweeping motion of moving the laser repeatedly over the treatment area which ensures full coverage while shortening your session time.
You can laser anywhere and everywhere except your eyebrows. Most popular areas for women are: bikini, legs, and underarms. And for men: back, chest, and buttocks.
Although the Soprano ICE Platinum is designed to treat all skin types at any time of the year we recommend you follow some simple guidelines for best results:
Avoid direct sunlight in the treatment area for two weeks prior to your appointment. Some areas rarely see direct sunlight so they can be treated anytime of the year. Those areas that are exposed to sunlight often can be treated, even during the summer, but should be covered for two weeks prior to your appointment.
Avoid tweezing and waxing for 4 to 6 weeks before your appointment, the laser needs to be able to identify the hair follicle to be most effective. Shaving is acceptable.
The night before or morning of your appointment, you should shave the area clean with a new razor.
After undergoing treatment there is an initial time period, two weeks, where it is recommended you avoid direct sunlight and if you will be exposed to the sun use sunblock.
